Motor Vehicle Tax is levied by the State Government under respective State Motor Vehicles Taxation Acts. The Ministry, through Vahan 4.0, provides a unified payment gateway (Bharat Kosh) for all States/UTs. Green Tax is levied under Section 4A of the CMVR.
